JWL Client Portal Terms of Use
Last Updated: August 2026
These Terms of Use govern access to and use of the Just Write Legal, LLC (“JWL”) client portal.
The portal is provided for current JWL clients and authorized users to submit landlord-tenant matters, upload documents, provide case information, receive requests for additional information, and view the status of matters submitted to JWL.
By accessing or using the portal, you agree to the following:
Authorized Use
Portal access is limited to authorized users. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity conducted through your account. Portal access should not be shared with unauthorized persons.
Accuracy of Information
You are responsible for providing accurate, complete, and current information and documents. JWL may rely on the information and documents submitted through the portal when preparing or filing documents.
Submission Does Not Mean Filing
Submitting information or documents through the portal does not mean that a court filing has been completed or that a matter is ready to be filed. JWL may review the submission and request additional or corrected information before proceeding.
Supporting Documents
You are responsible for providing all notices, affidavits or affirmations of service, leases, rent-assistance documents, agreements, and other supporting materials requested for the matter.
Communication
JWL may communicate with you through the portal, email, or other contact information you provide. You are responsible for reviewing requests for additional information and responding promptly.
Legal Representation
JWL is not a law firm and does not provide legal representation to landlords or tenants. Legal advice and representation are provided by the attorney handling the matter.
By using the portal and submitting information or documents to JWL, you authorize JWL to share any and all information and documents provided through the portal, or otherwise provided in connection with the matter, with your attorney and your attorney’s office for purposes related to the preparation, filing, prosecution, defense, or management of the matter.
Use of the portal does not create an attorney-client relationship with JWL.
Fees
JWL services are billed separately in accordance with the applicable fee arrangement. All fees are due upon receipt of invoice. Court filing fees, marshal or process-server fees, and other third-party expenses are separate unless expressly stated otherwise.
Portal Availability
JWL may modify, suspend, or discontinue portal access or functionality as needed. Technical interruptions do not alter filing deadlines or other legal obligations associated with a matter.
Acceptable Use
The portal may not be used to upload unlawful, malicious, or unrelated content or to attempt unauthorized access to other users’ information.
